The
main feature of the dosimeter-radiometer from section ¹1
is that they are designed for use exclusively in the domestic
environment (suitable for measurement plots, houses, building
materials, clothing, vehicles, heavily contaminated food
and so forth.). These dosimeters are characterized by a
relatively small size, ease of use and interpretation of
measurement results, but they have a large measurement error
in comparison with professional dosimeters and their testimony
can not be used in the preparation of official documents
(measurement protocols, etc.). Most dosimeters of this section
only measures gamma-radation. |

Section 2. Portable professional dosimeters for common purpose.
Section
¹2 collected the most simple dosimeter-radiometer, already
included in the State Register of measuring instruments
of Ukraine and / or other countries. With this dosimeters
of this section may be used for official measurements both
at home and in the workplace. These dosimeters are characterized
by a relatively small size, the lower the measurement error
compared to household appliances and are suitable for measurement
plots, houses, building materials, clothing, vehicles, heavily
contaminated food, etc. Most dosimeters of this section
measures both gamma-radation
and beta-radation. |
Section 3. Portable professional dosimeters for special purpose (for individual dose monitoring in "ordinary" conditions).
Section
¹3 shows the dosimeter-radiometer, which are recorded in
the State Register of measuring instruments of Ukraine and
/ or other countries and are intended for individual monitoring
(ie, the device must be permanently connected and be near
the person). Dosimeters in this section are primarily used
to control the workplace. These dosimeters, due to the small
size, characterized by a large response time to changes
in the radiation environment in comparison with the normal
household or professional dosimeters. Most dosimeters of
this section only measures gamma-radation. |

¹6 - a collection of two types of devices. The first type
- for operational search of radiological and/or nuclear
fissile material. The purpose of the search-indicator signaling
- is not so much an accurate measurement of how fast detection
and localization of the radiation source. The second type
- the search for operational measurement of X-ray (as low
energy and pulse). Alarm devices and dosimeters of this
section shall be subject to verification of the State and
can be used by border and customs services, on the checkpoints
in the areas of X-ray installations, etc. Devices of this

- the dosimeter consists of a central information processing
unit to which are connected detection units to measure different
types of radiation. This allows measurement of the broadest
ranges of intensity, energy and so forth (with the appropriate
detection unit). The dosimeters in this section are professional
instruments subject to State verification. Detection units
may be mounted on the lengthening rod and, depending on
the detector, is measured gamma-,
beta-, alpha-, roentgen, neutron radiation. |
